Yes – the boys are back in town!
Welcome back faithful reader . . . I hope you had a great summer and that now you are ready for the beginning of Fall activities, which includes school and our 35th anniversary concert season!
Our Tour Choir boys had a wonderful two week concert tour throughout the state of Minnesota after school ended and they returned in late June, only to begin rehearsing again after a two week hiatus for a three day appearance at The National Exchange Club national convention in downtown Houston.
Only a few weeks after that, they began their week long Camp Zengit Gutenproper where rehearsals began for a Christmas CD project with the national Christian recording artist, Jamie Thietten on her first Christmas album, “The Joy of Christmas” which will be released in early October! The boys headed into Tierra Studios in Houston to lay down all the vocal tracks only a few days ago. The album features them along with orchestra and Ms. Thietten . . . this is one you will definitely want to get!
Rehearsals have begun for all our treble choirs and our Music Magic class of six and seven year old boys begins in only a few weeks.
And – our newest CD release has just arrived, “Heavenly Euphoria” which is available for purchase on our website and at our office!
One of the things the boys and I talked about at camp was the theme of ‘friendship’ and how to be a real friend. We discussed many attributes and thoughts regarding this subject, one of which was the word “FAIL” , the word “END” and the word “NO”.
We made each word an acronym and came up with the following [new] way to look at these words:
- F.A.I.L. = First Attempt In Learning
- E.N.D. = Effort Never Dies
- N.O. = Next Opportunity
The end result of their discussions and learning was that, “You don’t ever have to give up, because the end is never the end!”
Yes – we have ordinary boys doing extraordinary things here, who love singing and learning with each other!
If you know of a boy like this who loves to sing with so many friends, please contact us and let us help him to get involved too.
And, did I mention that at the end of this year, our Tour boys will depart for a special two week concert tour of Switzerland?!
As I tell all our boys . . . to whom much is given – much is expected!
