Hear – Boys Sing!
Participate in #GivingTuesday and Help Us Support our Choirboys Affected by Hurricane Harvey
Each year at our Christmas Musicale, it is tradition to sing “Christmas is a Feeling” by Natalie Sleeth. The song is not necessarily about Christmas Day in and of itself. Rather, it is representative of the holiday season, regardless of race, culture or religion. It’s about coming together in good cheer and spirit. It’s about love and joy. And most of all, “It’s the spirit of giving in you and me.”
It is in this spirit of giving that we hope you will participate in this year’s #GivingTuesday on November 28, 2017. This social movement, in its sixth year, is in response to the commercialism of the holiday season, specifically Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. The media focuses attention on the marketing and buying aspect of the season and sometimes the true spirit of giving is lost.
How to Participate in #GivingTuesday
The Fort Bend Boys Choir had a rough start for our 36th concert season. Hurricane Harvey happened! Can you participate in #GivingTuesday this year and help our choirboys affected by this devastating storm? Many of our choir families were impacted and several are still not in their homes. Your donation will go directly towards our music programs and will fund tuition scholarships, uniforms, camp, summer tour and more!
Great News! If you donate using the Donate button on our Facebook page on Tuesday, November 28th, Facebook and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation will match your contribution, doubling it! This match is ONLY on Tuesday! Click the picture below to be taken to our Facebook page. The blue Donate button is right below our group choir picture. Happy Holidays to you all!
What are you giving this #GivingTuesday?
