Do You Hear What I Hear?
It’s the Sound of Singing Boys Ringing in our 35th Anniversary!
Each year at our Christmas Musicale, it is tradition to sing “Christmas is a Feeling” by Natalie Sleeth. The song is not necessarily about Christmas Day in and of itself. Rather, it is representative of the holiday season, regardless of race, culture or religion. It’s about coming together in good cheer and spirit. It’s about love and joy. And most of all, “It’s the spirit of giving in you and me.”
It is in this spirit of giving that we hope you will participate in this year’s #GivingTuesday on November 29, 2016. This social movement, in its fifth year, is in response to the commercialism of the holiday season, specifically Black Friday, Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. The media focuses attention on the marketing and buying aspect of the season and sometimes the true spirit of giving is lost.
How to Participate in #GivingTuesday
The Fort Bend Boys Choir has a big reason to celebrate this season – actually 35 big reasons. It’s our 35th anniversary! While we are not the oldest boychoir organization in the United States, we do have one of the largest and most successful music programs. We give many thanks for this success to all of you who have supported our choirboys throughout the years!
About 20 years ago, there were approximately 100 boychoirs in the country but now? There are less than 50. That is why your support is so important to us in keeping the music alive for our choirboys. Can you participate in #GivingTuesday this year and help the Fort Bend Boys Choir? Your donation will go directly towards our music programs and will fund tuition scholarships, uniforms, camp, summer tour and more! Here is a link to our Paypal Giving Fund where 100% of the donation goes to our organization:
