Can you help us keep the music alive for our choirboys? You can make a difference in their lives by donating an item or service to our upcoming Red, White & Blue Gala Dinner and Auction event, a Patriotic Salute to America on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at Safari Texas. Your support through a tax-deductible donation will play a significant role in raising much-needed funds for our four music programs. In addition, you would receive some great publicity at our event through a prominent display and a listing in our printed auction program.
Below are links to our donation request letter, information sheet and auction donation form. Thank you for supporting our choirboys!
The Fort Bend Boys Choir of Texas’ primary mission is to “make a difference … one boy at a time.” Music is not our ultimate goal and yet music excellence is the hallmark of the organization. We use music as a tool to teach and develop in each of our 125 boys a sense of decorum, self-discipline, self-motivation, and etiquette, consistency of accomplishment, team building, and time management. All of these qualities carry them into adulthood, no matter his chosen field. The choirboys also perform up to 10 concerts a year free as a community service for local retirement and assisted facilities because we want to teach our boys what it means to give back to their community. Leading by example and presenting opportunities to serve others assists our choirboys in learning how to become outstanding citizens in their communities.
Over 20 years ago, there were over 150 boychoirs across the nation and today, there are less than 50! The Fort Bend Boys Choir of Texas is the largest independent boychoir in the nation – right in your own backyard! The boychoir experience we offer truly cannot be duplicated elsewhere; the family and community found within the choir builds character and teaches cooperation. It is unique and instills a sense of pride, confidence and self-esteem in our choirboys. They develop positive values such as responsibility and commitment in our music programs. Values like these play a huge role in keeping boys out of trouble in school and the community and out of our overburdened juvenile court system.
Your tax-deductible donation to our gala dinner and auction event would aid our four music programs including supporting talented choirboys through scholarships so they can continue to receive not only an excellent music education but also learn those many life lessons through song. We would be able to maintain our tradition of never turning a boy away due to financial reasons and your business would play a part in “making a difference … one boy at a time.”
